The Cornish Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Cornish, Maine, and its people. Through historical research, photographs, documents, artifacts, historic rooms, and community programs, the Society helps keep Cornish's history alive for present and future generations.
The Society also preserves historic spaces that offer visitors a glimpse into Cornish's past. Our Victorian-era parlors are furnished and presented to reflect the character of a late-19th-century home and are available for visitors to explore during Society open hours and events .
We are also highlighting America's 250th birthday through the end of 2026.
The Society has taken an active role in preserving, cleaning and maintaining historical cemeteries. If you would like more information, the leader can be contacted via email at mason.garyb@gmail.com.
The Society has been designated an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the name Cornish Historical Society, Inc.
See the Society's hours on the Home Page.
